The Ukrainian electricity provider Ukrenergo and the Slovak SEPS have agreed on the distribution of access to transnational interconnectors of each grid operator after the auctions. Because Russia has damaged many energy centres, Ukraine takes part in daily auctions only for a short time.
Ukrenergo reports that in cooperation with the National commission for state regulation of energy and utilities, it was possible to amend the legislation and start the full-fledged export of electricity to Slovakia. Throughput — 200 MW for 5 hours on July 23.
The first auction took place on 21 July. Ukraine will provide only surplus electricity, such as the one that is generated from dusk to dawn by means of solar panels.
