Export of Ukrainian IT Services Grew by 9.5%

The NBU reports on the current situation in the IT sphere of Ukraine compared to 2022

The National Bank of Ukraine reports that the level of exports of IT services by Ukrainian programmers in June increased by 9.5% compared to May. The total cost of the scope of work is $590 million. Notably, this is 1.8% ($11 million) less than in May 2022, when the 3rd month of the war was burning in Ukraine.

The same difference is also visible in comparing the last 5 months of 2023 and the same period of 2022: $2.8 billion to $374 million. That is, in 2022, revenue from the provision of IT services was 12% more.

Stepan Veselovsky, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster, reports that in 2023 the participation of digital content in the total export of Ukraine is 41% and in 2022 47%. This year's projected revenue could equal last year's $7.3 billion.

Despite the war, several groups of the male population in Ukraine are fit for military service but are exempt from this duty: programmers and fathers of many children.
