The Finnish Ministry of Defense confirmed the package but did not disclose specific details about its contents or transportation due to operational and security reasons.
Since the onset of the conflict, Finland has provided a total of €2.3 billion in military aid to Ukraine. Defense Minister Antti Häkkanen reiterated Finland's commitment to supporting Ukraine, stating, "The developments in the war in Ukraine remain serious. As promised, Finland will continue to provide material assistance. Our message to partner countries is that we must not give up."
This announcement follows the United States' recent declaration of a $250 million military aid package during the Rammstein meeting. The U.S. aid includes ammunition, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, M113 armored personnel carriers, patrol boats, and more, marking the 65th tranche of U.S. support for Ukraine since August 2021.
