Ukraine continues to strengthen ties with African countries. Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy talked with the presidents of Congo and Ghana, and on August 15, the president of Ukraine held the first-ever Ukraine-Niger negotiations.
"Held the 1st talks in the history of relations with the president of Niger Mohamed Bazoum. Thanked for supporting Ukraine in the UN, agreed on the development of bilateral cooperation & participation in international projects. Assured that Ukraine will remain a guarantor of food security," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In July 2022, president Zelenskyy appointed diplomat Maksym Subh to the post of Ukraine's special representative for the Middle East and Africa.
