Ukraine continues to strengthen ties with African countries. Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy talked with the presidents of Congo and Ghana, and on August 15, the president of Ukraine held the first-ever Ukraine-Niger negotiations.

Thanked for supporting Ukraine in the UN, agreed on the development of bilateral cooperation & participation in international projects. Assured that Ukraine will remain a guarantor of food security," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In July 2022, president Zelenskyy appointed diplomat Maksym Subh to the post of Ukraine's special representative for the Middle East and Africa.
