On April 28, $254 million was invested in a business in Ukraine through Horizon Capital Growth Fund IV. This is the most significant investment since the beginning of the Russian war.
"Right now, when we are fighting Russian terror, big world business not only believes in our victory but also confirms this faith with its millions of investments, specifics," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the president, this is the first tranche of the total investment. The full amount and its purpose have not yet been made public.
Horizon Capital has been operating in Ukraine for 29 years and moderates 6 projects: WNISEF — $150 mln, Emerging Europe Growth Fund — $132 mln, EEGF II — $370 mln, EEGF III — $200 mln, HCGF II — $258.3 mln. The investment has taken place in 160 companies, thus creating around 77.000 people in Ukraine and neighbouring Moldova.
