The first reading of the bill 2713-p On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and other laws of Ukraine concerning taxation of income from organization and holding of gambling games and lotteries passed, and so far those amendments that are submitted do not have critical comments on this bill.
On June 3, the government failed to adopt and sent back for revision of bill number 2713-d, which proposes to reduce taxes for the organizers of gambling and lotteries.
In turn, the Main Scientific and Expert Department of the Government in its conclusions stated that the changes proposed by the bill would reduce the tax burden on the organizers of gambling and lotteries, and thus reduce the state budget revenues. In turn, the proposal to cancel taxation of citizens' income from gambling (in the proposed amount), among other things, contains the risks of legalization of proceeds from crime, minimization of tax payments.
