On May 17, the presidents discussed further cooperation. In a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Emmanuel Macron confirmed that his country will increase its weapons to fight Russia. The president of France also reaffirmed his intention to consider and, if possible, support every request from Ukraine.
"Macron has confirmed that arms supplies from France will continue and increase in the coming days and weeks, as will the delivery of humanitarian equipment," the Elysee Palace said.
A separate topic was the food crisis, which began with the blockade of the Ukrainian Black Sea, as well as the rupture of Russia's established food supply chains from Ukraine.
"The presidents discussed the security guarantees that France can provide to Ukraine under an international agreement to ensure respect for the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the Elysee Palace.
We remind you that last month it became one of the countries supplying heavy artillery to Ukraine. In the near future, Ukraine will receive a batch of CEASAR artillery units. In addition, Ukraine received a large number of fire and rescue vehicles, 27 trucks and 50 tons of equipment from France.
