In 2021, freight transported by the Dnipro showed positive statistics, which, in particular, was influenced by the coordinated work of the Ministry of the infrastructure of Ukraine, the Maritime administration, business, and favorable weather conditions at the end of the year.
Volumes of transportation in 2021 by the Dnipro amounted to 14.366 tons (an increase of 27.9% compared to 2020, when freight traffic amounted to 11.230 tons), in terms of the range of basic cargo:
- Building materials etc. — 9.518 tons (an increase of 63%);
- Grain — 3.611 tons (an increase of 2.4%);
- Metal products — 1.221 tons (a decrease of 33.37%).
- Transportation of dangerous goods amounted to 37.400 tons.
The number of passages was 15.840 (an increase of 36.78% compared to 2020, when 11.579 passages were recorded), of which 13.835 were inland, and 2.005 were maritime.
