The cabinet of ministers has approved a "barrier-free space" program for people with disabilities in Ukraine. This is especially true in a country where thousands of people were left without limbs due to the war. The Ministry of social policy reports that the program will cover 6 areas:
- Public and civil;
- Educational;
- Economic;
- Informational;
- Physical;
- Digital.
The program has funds to attract prosthetists and rehabilitation specialists to medical facilities and support people who can no longer take care of themselves.
"We are already changing the system of providing assistive rehabilitation aids for quick and convenient provision of services, creating mechanisms to support the employment of people with disabilities to enable their professional implementation," minister of social policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovych.
We hope this program will help Ukrainians live a full life and let go of the pain Russia has caused them.
