The sky in Ukraine will be closed after 6 months of the war, and more than 30.000 civilians and military dead. Germany has announced the supply of modern air defence. IRIS-T systems will be transferred for the protection of Ukrainian cities. German foreign minister Annalena Berbock announced that the transfer of air defence will take place in the coming weeks.
The air defence system was created by the German company Diehl Defence. The installation has a movable chassis and guided missiles. The missile class is air-air. The missile is in service of 9 European countries.
Note that Scholz believes that German weapons can change the war's course. However, Ukrainians almost 3 months, received no military assistance from Germany. Including the air defence IRIS-T SLM. On June 1, 2022, German сhancellor Olaf Scholz has already announced the delivery of this anti-aircraft model to Ukraine within a month. Now German politicians say there are weeks left. The delivery is said to have been delayed because of the manufacturer, as Germany is unable to hand over weapons to its own hands.
Ukrainians are waiting for these anti-aircraft systems and hope that this time the city will be under the newest protection of IRIS-T.
