Democratic fractions of the German parliament agreed on a resolution recognizing the Soviet artificial famine against the population of Ukraine as genocide

On November 25, German parliamentarians from the parties BÜNDNIS 90/DIE GRÜNEN, Fraktion der Freien Demokraten, and CDU/CSU adopted a resolution recognizing the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people.

"All democratic German fractions agreed on a milestone joint Holodomor resolution to be passed next week. Decided: Bundestag sees it as genocide. Grateful to Germany and personally to Lars Klingbeil, Omid Nouripour, Christian Dürr, Friedrich Merz for honouring the Ukrainian people," the minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

On November 24, the Moldova, Ireland and Romania parliaments also recognized the Holodomor as genocide. In total, 20 countries adopted this decision.
