On December 29, Spiegel published a comment by German economy minister Robert Habeck about Russia's impending defeat in the war against Ukraine.
"No one could have imagined that 2022 would end like this. Putin is losing this war on the battlefield," Robert Habeck.
The minister emphasized that Ukraine's success consists of 2 components: weapons (modern and Soviet) that Ukraine receives from Europe, NATO, the United States and other partners, as well as the skill of the Ukrainian army, which uses Western weapons "skillfully and strategically, deftly and heroically."
"I am for Germany, together with its allies, to support Ukraine in such a way that it can win this war. Of course, there will always be new systems and additional support, but they always need to be discussed with allies," Robert Habeck.
It is worth noting that minister Habeck has been in favour of providing Ukraine with weapons from the very beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine.
