In the grand final of the Super Cup of Ukraine in the discipline CS:GO, which took place on January 16, 2022, the winner was the Ukrainian team of e-athletes called Run or Die. They became champions, beating the B8 team in an equal battle.
The Super Cup of Ukraine became the first e-sports event, which was officially included in the calendar of sports events of the Ministry of youth and sport of Ukraine. The total prize fund in the tournament was $10.000.
The tournament began on December 20, 2021, and ended on January 16, 2022. It took place in 3 stages: the group stage, playoffs, and grand final.
For the victory in it competed for the 10 best teams that showed the best results at the championship of Ukraine last year, the stars of the Ukrainian e-sports scene, and popular streamers. SpуееdRunners, Tribunаl Gaming, OKURA, Dоge Soldiers, GUESS, B8, Run or Die, EC Kyiv, SESTRI, and StarzzZ – these are all teams that competed for the victory in the Super Cup of Ukraine.
The prize fund of the competition was divided as follows:
- 1st place – $4.500;
- 2nd place – $2.500;
- 3rd place – $1.500;
- 4th place – $750;
- 5-6 place – $375.
The Ukrainian e-sports federation organized the broadcast of all matches of the Supercup in Ukrainian from the studio in Dnipro. Registration for the Cup of Ukraine 2022 in the disciplines of Dota 2 and СS:GO was also announced.
