Greek delegation in Odesa port
Representatives of the Odesa branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority met a delegation from Greece led by the Special Envoy of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Ukraine, Spyridon Lambridis. The delegation included representatives of Greek companies GEK TERNA and DP Pumps, showing business interest in practical port infrastructure projects.
The meeting focused on the operation of Odesa seaport within the Ukrainian maritime corridor, current challenges for the port industry and opportunities for investment cooperation. For Ukraine, such visits are important because the maritime corridor remains a key route for export logistics and a signal of confidence from international partners.
Infrastructure under wartime conditions
The Greek side was briefed on how the port works under martial law and what measures help keep maritime logistics moving. Ports must handle safety risks, insurance constraints, vessel scheduling and infrastructure maintenance while preserving commercial operations.
Odesa port is not only a cargo gateway. It is part of the broader Black Sea logistics system that connects Ukrainian producers with global markets. Investment discussions around modernization, equipment, pumping systems, engineering and reconstruction can strengthen that role after the war and already support resilience now.
What this means for investors
The meeting became another step in the dialogue between Ukraine and Greece. The Odesa branch of USPA said it remains open to cooperation with international partners aimed at port infrastructure development, stronger maritime logistics and joint projects.
