Hague Discussions for Ukraine

7 member countries of NATO and GS Alliance met in the Hague to discuss and political support for military assistance to Ukraine

On June 27, Hague hosted a meeting of representatives of 7 European NATO countries: president of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda, president of Poland Andrzej Duda, president of Romania Klaus Iohannis, PM of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, PM of Belgium Alexander De Croo, PM of  Norway Jonas Gahr Store, PM of Albania Edi Rama and NATO head Jens Stoltenberg. The countries' leaders met to discuss the upcoming summit in Vilnius, to coordinate actions and decisions regarding assistance to Ukraine.

"In the run-up to NATO summit in Vilnius, met with fellow NATO leaders in the Hague to discuss support to Ukraine. The Vilnius summit will be the moment to boost our commitments and ensure Ukraine gets all it needs to defeat the aggressor. Ukraine's victory is a precondition for peace in Europe," Gitanas Nauseda, whose country will host the summit very soon.

"We will continue supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes, so it can drive the Russians from its territory and triumph in its struggle. That support includes bilateral arms deliveries, as well as humanitarian and financial assistance. What's more, we'll continue helping to build a modern Ukrainian army which operates in accordance with NATO standards and can withstand the threats posed by Russia," Mark Rutte.

"Excellent meeting hosted by the Netherlands and Mark Rutte in the Hague with Albania, Belgium, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, and Romania to prepare the NATO Summit in Vilnius. NATO Allies will meet at a critical time to take key decisions on continued support for Ukraine and strengthening our deterrence and defence," Jens Stoltenberg.
