A modern high-tech fish processing plant has officially opened in Western Ukraine, marking a significant milestone for the country’s food industry and export potential. The facility was launched on the basis of PJSC Lviv Regional Production Fish Plant, transforming it into one of Eastern Europe’s most advanced fish processing centers.

According to the State Agency for Reclamation and Fisheries of Ukraine, the new production complex covers 6,800 m² and meets all key international standards for food safety, hygiene, and environmental protection, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 22000.

🐟 Key Highlights of the New Facility:

  • Daily processing capacity: up to 25 tons of raw materials

  • Daily output: up to 12.5 tons of finished fish products

  • Production types: salted, smoked, preserved fish, and semi-finished products

  • Raw materials: both Ukrainian farmed fish and imported stock

  • Zones: Includes separate areas for raw intake, “wet” and “dry” processing, finished product shipping, and sanitary zones for staff

  • Export ready: Complies with EU and global food safety systems, allowing entry into foreign markets

🇺🇦 Strategic Importance

The plant’s launch in the Lviv region, considered one of the most secure and logistics-friendly areas of Ukraine, is a strategic step in decentralizing industrial production and supporting wartime food resilience. The project supports local aquaculture, creates new jobs, and positions Ukraine as a regional player in high-quality fish processing and export.

With growing global demand for sustainable and well-processed fish products, the new facility is expected to contribute significantly to Ukraine’s export potential and post-war economic recovery.
