A subsidiary of the Latvian Railways, LDZ ritoss sastsva serviss, has received a CERT ACS certificate, which allows it to provide locomotive repair services in Ukraine. Several Ukrainian locomotive owners have confirmed their interest in cooperating with the company.
Very soon the company will be able to offer repair work on a wide range of locomotives operated on the railways of Ukraine.
According to the chairman of the board Girts Ivanovs, obtaining the certificate was a difficult and long process. However, now the certificate allows the Latvian company to carry out repair of locomotives with service of various knots and wheel pairs, and also capital, or restorative repair with prolongation of service life of locomotives.
Let's recalled that LDZ ritošā sastāva serviss was founded in 2007 after the division of the national railway carrier into separate companies. Today, LDZ is one of the leaders in the Latvian railway market, engaged in the modernization, maintenance, and equipment of railway rolling stock, fuel investing-in-ukraine/service-for-investors/warehouses/" rel="dofollow">storage, and sale to railway carriers, as well as the lease of mainline locomotives.
