On June 1, Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave an interview to the Newsmax news resource.
"The situation is very difficult. We lose 60-100 soldiers daily on the battlefield, and about 500 are wounded in combat. So we're holding our defensive perimeters. The most difficult situation is in the east of Ukraine and in the south of Donetsk and Luhansk," president of Ukraine.
Zelensky said that due to the condescending attitude of the world towards Putin's war, this war continues, the death toll is increasing, and the food crisis is getting worse.
"Currently, he (Putin – ed.) is almost isolated. The world is constantly giving it a chance because the sanctions are not fully implemented. There are gaps in the statements of some leaders who claim that the Russian leader should be offered a way out of the situation," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The president focused on the fact that Putin is aware of his defeat. And one of the proofs of this is the unsuccessful attempts to kill the president of Ukraine.
"Trying to kill the leader of this or that country is a weakness, I would say. If you can't speak, it's a weakness. The weakness is to start a war, and they have already shown this weakness. If you cannot occupy a country, that is weakness. And at the same time, if you want something to happen to the family of the leader of another country, then this is a political inability to do something," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
