One of the key areas in which social workers should focus their work in 2022 is the development of quality social services that a person can receive according to the needs of the residence or as close to it as possible, rather than in an inpatient setting.
"Man must receive care, accompaniment, and other services at a place of residence or next to him. It is necessary to do everything that a person lived at home, rather than isolate it in the institution. This, first of all, concerns children, but also people of esteemed age, people with disabilities," said minister of social policy of Ukraine, Maryna Lazebna.
Marina Lazebna stressed the need to work with families, support families, and respond quickly to their needs. The Minister drew attention to the positive dynamics of creating family forms of education in the capital. At the same time, she pointed out that Kyiv has only three families of foster carers, and no new ones have appeared in a year.
