This was stated by KSE (Kyiv school of economics) expert Roman Neyter during the presentation of the fourth issue of the information-analytical bulletin Review of land relations in Ukraine.
Review of land relations in Ukraine — a monthly joint product of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine.
"In November, we see a significant market growth compared to the previous month. The number of transactions increased by 37%, the total area of land plots sold — by 43%, and amounted to a record of about 38 thousand hectares. These are the biggest figures since the opening of the land market," Neyter said.
He noted that as of December 1, the number of signed agreements exceeded 45 thousand, and the total area of land plots sold in November for the first time exceeded 100 thousand hectares.
In terms of area, most transactions concern marketable land — 65.5% of all sold land plots. At the same time, in terms of the number of transactions, only 42.8% of transactions concerned land plots for commodity production, more than half of the properties sold were land plots for personal farming.
At the end of November, the top three regions of land turnover activity remain unchanged — Kharkiv, Kherson, and Kirovograd regions.
