It is no secret that Ukraine is preparing for a counteroffensive. According to British intelligence photographs, the Russian occupiers at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant have formed sandbag defensive positions on some of the 6 reactors. This is probably how the Russians plan to defend themselves against artillery during the Ukrainian offensive.
The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was captured in March 2022, and the Russians have been using it as a military base all this time.
"However, this is the first indication of the actual reactor buildings being integrated in tactical defence planning," the British intelligence.
It is not worth talking about damage to the reactors because, firstly, the positions of the Russians are strongly fortified, and secondly, the Ukrainians will not shoot at their own nuclear facility.
