Investments in the Construction of Water Pipelines in Ukraine

The Ukrainian government will open the tender for the construction of a new reservoir to replace the destroyed in Kakhovka

On June 6, the armed forces of the Russian Federation committed an act of terrorism at the HPP, which led to a man-made disaster. The cabinet of ministers of Ukraine urgently allocated $40.2 million to construct a water pipeline for the Dnipro region. Kryviy Rih and Nikopol cities were the first to suffer due to the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.

America also reported that additional assistance was being prepared. The new package will be designed to address the consequences of the disaster made by the Kremlin.

The first expert opinions on the destroyed hydroelectric plant have also been announced. The station was submerged entirely yesterday, it cannot be restored. Once the land had been cleared of the invaders, a new station could be built. This gives a new impetus to the development of Ukrainian business and foreign investment. At least $27 million will be allocated for an important Ukrainian project.

"The price of building a new hydroelectric power plant could cost about $1 billion since it is not only about installing new hydraulic units but about restoring the integrity of a huge dam," said deputy prime minister of the economy Yuliia Svyrydenko.

After the tender, it will take about 5 years to build. At the same time, it will still be necessary to implement a project to eliminate the consequences of the explosion and water loss and ensure the dam's safety in the future.
