Ireland Plans to Transfer Ru Assets to Ukraine

The Irish government is working on a procedure for blocking the assets of the aggressor state to transfer them to Ukraine

The representative of the Upper and Lower houses of parliament of Ireland, Mark Daly and Sean O'Faril, published information that works on the procedure for the confiscation of assets, and the legal transfer of these assets to Ukraine is already underway. The news was announced during Sean O'Faril's visit to Kyiv and his conversation with the Ukrainian president and prime minister.

"Ireland has been helping Ukraine since the first days of the war. I am grateful to the speaker of the Upper House of the Irish parliament, Mark Daly, and the speaker of the Lower House of parliament, Sean O'Faril, for visiting and supporting the sovereignty of our country! It is important to stay united and continue to fight tyranny together," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Sean O'Faril thanked the Ukrainian people for their courage in the fight against Russia and confirmed the intentions of his state to assist Ukraine and help its citizens. Also, the speaker of the lower house voiced Ireland's confidence in Ukraine's accession to the EU and his intention to support our country's application for membership.

In turn, prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to the Irish guests for the support of his people and government and humanitarian and financial aid.
