Ireland Will Rebuild Ukrainian Mariupol

Head of Mariupol Vadym Boichenko and ambassador of Ireland to Ukraine Therese Healy discussed the project "Mariupol Reborn"

During the meeting, the official representatives of the 2 countries discussed the return of Mariupol to life after liberation from the invaders. Recall that the port Ukrainian city has been under Russian occupation since the spring of 2022, more than 90% of the city has been destroyed there. So, Ireland plans to share the experience of restoring residential buildings and infrastructure. In addition, partners are conducting an analysis and development of the economic component of the city reconstruction for the Mariupol Reborn project.

The Irish ambassador to Ukraine noted that her country has experience in changing economic models. Thus, Ukraine will be able to find ways to create professions in the city, new industries, etc. In addition, Therese Healy notes that Ireland will continue to support Ukraine, immigrants and people who once lived in Mariupol and are ready to return there after liberation from Russian invaders.

Note that the Ukrainian project Mariupol Reborn is dedicated to the restoration of the city after liberation from Russia. The initiator of the project was the city council, relying on the support of investors.
