Israel Lifted Restrictions on Ukrainians

The Supreme court of justice of Israel has annulled the order of the interior minister of the country regarding Ukrainians

The Supreme court of justice did not accept the decision of Ayelet Shaked to deprive Ukrainian citizens of the right to visa-free entry into Israel, which was introduced after the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine. Therefore, on 3 July, it was decided to impose a ban on the politician's decision.

"People from Ukraine will be able to enter Israel for 3 months without submitting a special request for this," said the court.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted positively to the new state of relations with Israel. Recall that earlier, Jerusalem decided to limit the number of Ukrainians in the country (up to 5.000 people), as well as introduced a mandatory visa entry or entry to the territory of the country only a narrow circle of relatives from Ukraine. Ukraine was ready to respond decisively to such innovations from Israel. However, the Supreme court helped to resolve the situation.

"I welcome the decision of the Supreme сourt of the state of Israel obliging the пovernment of Israel to lift any additional restrictions on the entry of Ukrainian citizens. The rule of law and respect for human rights is what distinguishes true advanced democracy," wrote Zelenskyy.
