On June 20, Zelenskyy and Bonomi discussed the participation of Italian business in reconstructing Ukraine after the war.
"I believe that now is another page in relations between our states. It seems to me that we have built trust, because of which I would very much like Italian production, companies, and representatives to be more powerfully represented on the Ukrainian market, especially in the program for restoring Ukraine. This is a program that will be launched after the war, but it needs to be launched already. For this, it is necessary that Italian manufacturers enter our market in a powerful wave," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Ukraine is ready to cooperate with Italy, as well as with Britain, Denmark, Greece, Japan, and other states that have officially confirmed their participation in the construction of Ukraine's infrastructure. It is essential that Italian businesses will also enter Ukraine as soon as Ukraine defeats Russia in its war. This means that Italian corporations and enterprises will be among those who restore the economy of our country and develop the common values of Ukraine and Italy.
"Help of Confindustria in launching production on the territory of Ukraine, creating new jobs is significant for the employment of Ukrainians who have lost their jobs as a result of hostilities," the president of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy also thanked the Italian government for supporting Ukraine's candidacy on the way to obtaining candidate member status and full EU membership.
