As the European Truth reports, Italian foreign minister Luigi Di Maio said: "I want to make clear that Italy recognizes Ukraine’s European aspirations and will fully support them along this path".
Luigi Di Maio added that Italy would support the reform of Ukraine until the final implementation of the Association agreement with the EU.
"We are very positive and appreciate the reforms that Ukraine has undertaken with regard to cooperation with the EU. We remain on the side of Kyiv to help it implement these reforms so that the Association Agreement with the EU can be fully implemented", commented the head of the Italian foreign ministry.
The Italian diplomat is convinced that the Association agreement and the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU have yielded positive results, and the strengthening of relations is important for each and the parties.
Luigi Di Maio represents the right-wing Five Star Movement, which is one of the largest parties in the parliament of Italy.
