The heroine of the art world, Katheryn Winnick, became the first Canadian ambassador of United24. The actress said that in 1940, her grandparents left Ukraine due to repressions from the Soviet regime, moved to Germany, and then to Canada. In a conversation with Zelenskyy and Yermak, Katheryn shared that she is proud to be part of the United24 team.
The star of the Vikings will help raise funds for the reconstruction of Ukraine. In total, UAH 719 million is needed to implement this direction (USD exchange rate — 36.57), and thanks to international donations through the U24 crowdfunding platform, UAH 510 million has already been collected. Citizens of 110 countries took part in fundraising.
"I understand how important it is for Ukrainian families to unite. People need to come home, rebuild their homes, so families can live together again," Katheryn Winnick.
It became known that Katheryn has been supporting Ukraine since 2014 when Russia attacked our country and occupied the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In 2022, the actress created The Winnick Foundation, which helps collect and deliver humanitarian goods to Ukraine.
