Kyiv Region and Washington State Establish Historic Cooperation

For the first time, a Ukrainian region and a US state have formalized their partnership through a memorandum of cooperation

The Kyiv region and the American state of Washington have embarked on this historic agreement, as announced by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration on Monday, March 18.

This groundbreaking memorandum was signed during a working visit to the USA by Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, alongside Washington Governor Jay Inslee. The collaboration aims to mitigate the impacts of Russian military activities, support the recovery of Ukraine's economy, and foster investment opportunities.

The areas of cooperation outlined in the memorandum include the economy and investments, agro-innovations, sustainable bio-economy, clean energy, digital technologies, and the rehabilitation of regional infrastructure. This partnership marks a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations and promoting mutual growth and development between Kyiv region and the state of Washington.
