Historically, the main technological centers of the country have become large cities with a population of over one million like Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa and Dnipro. At the same time, smaller administrative centers expanded and wasted staff: from Rivne, Lutsk, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk, everyone went to Lviv, to the city of opportunities and higher salaries.
For Ukrainian IT companies, 2021 passed under the non-public slogan "We tear off the regions". Companies, one after another, launched hubs, representative offices, small offices in cities with a population of 200-500 thousand. There's no need to transport a person to Kyiv when a convenient format of distant work allows you to stay in Vinnytsia. Everyone wins from opening offices in the smaller regions: small towns do not lose the middle class, IT companies can faster recruit specialists for their team.
EPAM
The largest IT company represented in Ukraine EPAM announced the opening of a full-fledged representative office in Odesa, offices in Kherson and Khmelnytskyi.
SoftServe
Also, in 2021, one of the largest Ukrainian IT companies SoftServe announced the opening of 4 offices at once — in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Uzhgorod and Odesa. The plan is to add 350 additional employees to this number for 2022.
SoftServe plans to attract 350 specialists in Odesa, Uzhgorod, Khmelnytsky and Vinnitsky.
Intellias
In 2021, the Ukrainian IT service company Intellias announced plans to open a new office in Dnipro, which will become the company's sixth development center in Ukraine. Other offices are located in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
The opening of new offices helps the company to recruit specialists with liquid expertise while offering them a comfortable working environment with the ability to work in an office.
