In the capital of Turkey, there was an exhibition of aviation equipment in Teknofest 2023. Officials from Ukraine attended it. During the exhibition and communication with manufacturers of Turkish UPVs, Ukraine signed a contract with the aircraft construction company Bayraktar. Oleksandr Kamyshyn said three contracts were concluded simultaneously: between Bayraktar and 2 Ukrainian manufacturers.
Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation will allow Kyiv to develop and strengthen the aviation industry. Companies will create projects that aim to create a new generation of weapons. Also, the minister for strategic industries said that the agreements contribute to the receipt of export revenues by Ukraine.
We note that the Turkish aircraft-building company was one of the first to want to help Ukraine confront the aggressor. In early 2023, Ukraine reported completing a joint project to build the Bayraktar drone plant. It is planned to produce Bayraktar TB2 and Kizilelma impact drones.
