This funding represents the first tranche under a memorandum of understanding signed in December 2024.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov described the initiative as a "strategic investment in Ukraine's strength" and stressed its importance for the security of all Europe. "These weapons are already working effectively on the front, increasing our range, accuracy, and power," Umerov said, highlighting the critical role of these advanced systems in the ongoing conflict.
Looking ahead, Minister Umerov added, "Together with our Lithuanian partners, we are working on the next stage – another €10 million in assistance, which will allow us to expand production and further strengthen our long-range capabilities."
This investment not only reinforces Ukraine’s defense industry but also underscores the deep-rooted international cooperation aimed at bolstering security across Europe.
