Lithuania Raises €1 Million for Drones in Under a Week to Support Ukraine

Lithuania has launched its third “Radarom!” solidarity campaign on the eve of the third anniversary of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, successfully raising €1 million in under a week

According to LRT, Lithuania’s national broadcaster, as of 7:30 a.m. on February 10, the campaign had collected €1,037,170.

Key Details

  • Allocation of Funds:

    • ⅔ of contributions go toward purchasing drones and anti-drone systems made in Lithuania.
    • The remaining will fund the purchase of Ukrainian-made equipment.
  • Major Donors:

    • AB Telia Lietuva, SBA Grupė, NT Service (which donated 50 drones), and the Association of Lithuanian Municipalities topped the donor list.
    • Other key contributors include Lonas, Brolis Semiconductors, Duvait, the Lithuanian Brewers Guild, and Biuro mašinos.
  • Campaign Duration:

    • The “Radarom!” drive continues until February 24, the date marking the full-scale invasion’s three-year milestone.

Previous Solidarity Campaigns

  • Over the last two iterations, Lithuanian companies and citizens have raised €22.8 million in total. These funds procured:
    • 17 radars
    • 69 anti-drone units
    • 4 specialized vehicles for mobile radar deployment
    • 1,141 security kits for military personnel

Wider Regional Support

  • In early February, Latvia’s government and volunteer organizations prepared another batch of drones for Ukraine’s Armed Forces, with a handover ceremony held on February 3.
  • Latvia is also organizing an additional shipment of combat drones, underscoring Baltic solidarity in supporting Ukraine’s defense.

Why It Matters

Lithuania’s impressive fundraising efforts reflect the country’s unwavering commitment to assist Ukraine. The funds collected will bolster Ukraine’s aerial capabilities, providing advanced drone technology and anti-drone measures—essential tools on the modern battlefield. With broader Baltic cooperation, these initiatives demonstrate a region-wide resolve to stand with Ukraine as it continues to defend its sovereignty.
