This latest shipment includes several million cartridges and thousands of projectiles for short-range portable anti-tank grenade launchers. Additionally, the aid package contains almost a thousand folding beds.
Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas emphasized Lithuania's responsiveness to Ukraine's immediate needs and continued support in alignment with these requests. "We hear Ukraine's urgent calls for help and continue to extend assistance as per their specified needs. We are also actively encouraging our allies to follow suit," Anusauskas stated.
The Ministry of Defense highlighted that Lithuania's support extends beyond the supply of military equipment. The country is also significantly involved in training Ukrainian servicemen, providing medical treatment and rehabilitation, offering expert consultations, and contributing financially to international funds dedicated to Ukraine.
Looking ahead, for the period of 2024-2026, Lithuania has committed to a substantial military aid package for Ukraine, amounting to 200 million euros. This contribution is part of Lithuania's efforts to support Ukraine in countering Russia's full-scale military aggression.
