“I am proud to announce that this week Lithuania will transfer 4,500 drones worth five million euros to Ukraine,” Šakalienė stated on the social network X.
She added that the Lithuanian government recently approved new measures to expedite the transfer of military assistance. This streamlined process aims to shorten procedural times and ensure Ukraine quickly receives the promised aid.
Despite earlier plans to send Lithuanian-made drones by the end of last year, bureaucratic hurdles delayed the shipment. However, with the newly approved procedure in place, the delivery is now moving forward.
