Turkey Presented to Lithuania “Bayraktar” For Ukraine

Lithuanians raised €6 mln on "Bayraktar" for Ukraine, and Turkey decided to give it for free

Today happened, something incredible and very indicative for Ukraine.

On May 26, at the initiative of the Lithuanian government, a fundraiser was announced to purchase a strike drone Bayraktar TB2 for Ukraine. On May 28, in less than 3 days, the residents of Lithuania collected almost €6 mln. The purchase was ready for implementation, and the Turkish side announced that it was prepared to hand over the drone to the Lithuanians for free. This was announced by the minister of defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anušauskas.

"Agreement was signed in Turkey today with the president of the Turkish Defense Agency prof. Ismail Demir on cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense of Lithuania! This agreement paves the way for the purchase of Bayraktar, for which Lithuanians raised almost €6 mln in 3 days!" Arvydas Anušauskas.

According to Arvydas Anušauskas, the collected amount will be transferred to the purchase of drone shells and cover other needs of Ukraine.
