A new sorting center will be built on the territory of the industrial park in Boryspil, not far from the airport of the same name. It will be located on an area of 9,2 hectares and is expected to be ready for commissioning by the end of 2023. The new center will be able to handle up to 40,000 parcels and small items per hour. It is estimated that this will reduce the time required to process the items of the service Ukrposhta-Express from 20, required today, up to 3 hours.
The successful location is in favor of the project. The future sorting center will be located near the main air gate of the country, the International Airport Borispol. Now we are working on transforming the airport into an Eastern European air hub. Also here passes the renewed road Kyiv — Kharkov with access to the central, eastern and southern regions.
"Very soon, in less than 1,5 years, everyone who will land at Boryspil airport, from a plane window will see this, the first (for 42 years) automated sorting center of the Ukrposhta, which processes more than 40 thousand parcels per hour. This is more than 10+ times more than now," wrote Ihor Smelyansky, general director of Ukrposhta.
