In order to reduce dependence on energy carriers of the aggressor country, the Ukrainian Ukrgazvydobuvannya and the Czech MND Group signed a memorandum of cooperation. According to the memorandum, the parties will jointly study and develop the still unexplored deposits in western Ukraine.
"We continue to attract international partners to increase Ukrainian gas reserves without waiting for the end of the war. In the conditions of Russia's energy blackmail, this issue has even become even more urgent. I am sure that our cooperation with MND Group will ensure the development of new opportunities to reduce Europe's dependence on Russian energy carriers. The Carpathian region has always been the focus of our activities, now, it is one of the safest regions where we can launch new projects," Oleg Tolmachev, director of Naftogaz exploration and production.
Since 2014, MND Group has been working in 5 regions of Ukraine, and according to the memorandum of October 7, it will provide its technical experience to work on still untouched hydrocarbon deposits.
