In July, at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Olaf Scholz announced that Ukraine would receive military support of €700 million. On Friday, 28 July, it became known that Kyiv received thousands of combat supplies and an anti-aircraft self-propelled installation Gepard announced at the summit. The military assistance package included 6 installations and 5.000 pieces of ammunition. In addition, the AFU will receive:
- 10 tracked all-terrain automobiles Bandvagn 206;
- Almost 3.000 smoke ammunition;
- 20 reconnaissance drones RQ-35 HEIDRUN;
- 13 reconnaissance drones VECTOR;
- 10 complexes IRIS-T;
- 8 ambulance vehicles.
The cost of this package of assistance from the FNR is not named. However, according to the German Ministry of defence statements, the tranche should also include additional equipment and repair vehicles Bergepanzer. So probably Kyiv received only part of the €700 million.
Germany actively supports Ukraine during the war and accelerates the pace of assistance during the counteroffensive.
