On 17 May, the King of the Netherlands held a business meeting with the head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Dmytro Kuleba. During the business meeting, representatives of the two states discussed the most important issues. They discussed the judicial nuances. Kuleba learned about the status of already filed lawsuits related to Russian crimes in Ukraine. The politicians also discussed the possibility of promoting Ukraine's claims in international courts. The second issue considered is strengthening Ukraine's defence capability to protect territories. The sides discussed the following steps to strengthen the state's defence capability that suffers from Russian aggression. The Netherlands also discussed the expansion of sanctions against Russia and strengthening the European Union.
"I was honoured to be received by His Majesty Willem-Alexander Klaus George Ferdinand, King of the Netherlands, at the Gates ten-Boss palace. I take this as a sign of unswerving solidarity with Ukraine and its people, which we highly appreciate," said the head of the ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine on his Twitter page.
Dmytro Kuleba expressed confidence in support of the Netherlands. He believes that Dutch society will support and become a leader in bringing Ukraine and the European Union closer together.
