The Ministry of foreign affairs and the State migration service of Ukraine have launched a test operation of passport services on wheels in Spanish Valencia. The white minibusses of the state enterprise Document will provide a stronghold of services for 70.000 Ukrainians who have taken refuge in Spain.
On a first-come, first-served basis, Ukrainians may contact specialists in the mobile passport service and receive the following assistance:
- Registration/exchange of an ID-card or a foreign passport;
- Exchange of an old-style passport (booklet) on an ID-card;
- Insurance;
- Receive a driver's license (to be launched later).
At the same time, Ukrainian citizens who live in Spain not as refugees but received a mark of permanent residence before the war can only be served in diplomatic institutions.
The same Passport services in minibusses already exist in Poland, Turkey, Slovakia, Czechia and Germany.
