Ukraine exported 60.3 thousand tons of wheat flour in the 2025/2026 marketing year, down 9.5% from the previous season

Moldova became the largest importer of Ukrainian wheat flour in the 2025/2026 marketing year. According to the Millers of Ukraine association, it purchased 19.4 thousand tons, or 32.2% of total exports.

Overall, Ukraine exported 60.3 thousand tons of wheat flour in the season from July 2025 to June 2026. That is 9.5% less than in the previous marketing year, when exports reached 66.7 thousand tons.

Who bought Ukrainian flour

Palestine ranked second with 10.2 thousand tons, or 16.9% of exports. Czechia was third with 9.5 thousand tons, or 15.7%. Spain bought 6.1 thousand tons, while Israel imported 5.2 thousand tons.

The geography shows that Ukrainian flour exports remain diversified, although total volumes declined. Moldova’s first place also reflects the importance of nearby regional markets for processed agricultural products.

Context for grain exports

Ukraine’s wheat exports also fell in the 2025/2026 marketing season, from 15.4 million tons to almost 14 million tons. In value terms, wheat exports decreased by 5% to about 3 billion dollars.

For agri-business and investors, the figures point to a shift in attention from raw grain alone to processed products and regional logistics. Flour exports depend not only on harvest volumes, but also on milling capacity, transport costs, demand in neighboring markets and the stability of trade corridors.
