More 101 POWs Returned Home

On 16 February, Ukraine returned another group of our citizens: warriors and 1 civilian

Head of the office of the president of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, reported on the new release of Ukrainians from the hands of Russians. 100 defenders and 1 civilian returned from Russian captivity. Both the members of the National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the border guard officers were returned from Russian captivity. It is reported that among the freed fighters, there are many wounded — they have problems of different severity.

It is important to note that most dismissed military servants were taken to the full-on Azovstal – 63 people. Another 31 men were on the defence of Mariupol.

"We continue to work, thanks to the team and the coordination staff for treating military personnel. Let us return to the home of all," Andrii Yermak said.

Also, 1 civilian was taken from the hands of the Russian invaders – Ivan Samoidiuk, deputy mayor of Enerhodar. Samoyyuk was in captivity for 333 days. Recall that the armed forces of the Russian Federation captured the mayor at one of the Ukrainian checkpoints.
