NATO PA Recognizes Russia as a Terrorist Country

On November 21 Russia, the PA recognized a terrorist country as a terrorist country and agreed to establish an international tribunal on the issue of Russian aggression

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly recognized Russia as a terrorist state and called for the creation of a special international tribunal for the crimes of Russians against Ukraine. A meeting of the PA is currently taking place in Madrid. Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part online and called on NATO to accept Ukraine's application for membership in the Alliance.

On the same day, the NATO PA recognized Russia as a sponsor of terrorism and also agreed to Ukraine's proposal to establish a tribunal for Russian war criminals. All 30 participating countries voted positively.

What does it give Ukraine:

  • Increase in the supply of weapons to counter Russia;
  • Development of a map of Ukraine's accession to NATO;
  • Development of a reparations map.

 "All 30 NATO countries supported the proposals of our delegation. Such a tribunal will make it possible to convict not only the direct perpetrators of war crimes but also the top leadership of the Russian Federation. The resolution will be sent to the governments and parliaments of all NATO member countries," head of the permanent delegation of Ukraine to the NATO PA Yegor Chernev.

The resolution adopted by NATO includes the principle of support for Ukraine by the Alliance until the very victory over the terrorist country.
