NATO Won’t Allow War to Freeze

Stoltenberg called participation in the victory of Ukraine the responsibility of NATO

On April 3-4, the Ukraine-NATO Commission takes place in Brussels. As part of the congress, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg commented on the alliance's view of the continuation and outcome of the war against Ukraine. It is known that without the ability to attack, Russia is trying to freeze the battle, especially on the front line.

"I would be cautious about the likelihood of such a scenario. I guess it's our responsibility to make sure that doesn't happen, to maximise the likelihood that it doesn't come to that," Stoltenberg commented on the possibility of prolonging the war.

The secretary-general also answered the question of whether the Kremlin is ready for negotiations or whether its task is to eradicate Ukraine.

"What we would like is to see a Ukraine that is able to liberate more land, push back President Putin's soldiers, and then this could create the conditions for some kind of negotiations," Secretary Stoltenberg.

We remind you that for the first time since 2014, Ukraine is participating in this summit, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has already talked to Josep Borrell.
