Negotiations Between the President of Ukraine and the PM of Japan

On March 21, the Joint statement on the global partnership Ukraine-Japan was signed

On March 21, the prime minister of Japan arrived in Ukraine for the first time in the entire history of its independence. Fumio Kishida made an unannounced visit, which is a clear and unambiguous signal of support for Ukraine.

After the press conference of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Fumio Kishida, the president reported that the parties discussed sanctions against Russian aggression and the participation of Japanese investors in the restoration of Ukraine.

"As a result of our talks today, we have signed a Joint statement on a special global partnership between Ukraine and Japan. This document reflects both our values, which we defend together and our aspirations, which are yet to be realised," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Fumio Kishida announced a macro-aid package for our state: $470 million for the restoration of the energy infrastructure and $30 million for the purchase of defence equipment for the armed forces of Ukraine.
