The official portal of the Bundesregierung reported that the Ministry of defense of Ukraine received these weapons from Germany in recent days:
- Ammunition for Leopard-1;
- 19 8x8 HX81 tractor units and 14 semi-trailers;
- 14 tracked and remotely controlled Themis infantry vehicles;
- 64 tracked all-terrain vehicles Bandvagn 206;
- 66 armoured personnel carriers.
This package was formed by the joint efforts of the Bundeswehr and the specialised industry in Germany.
On June 2, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had the opportunity to talk with Olaf Scholz in Chisinau. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the situation in Ukraine, the Global Peace Summit in Lithuania and without the participation of Russia, the strengthening of sanctions against the Kremlin and the need to provide Ukrainians with fighter jets.
"I spoke about the escalation of Russian missile terror against our country. It is necessary to continue defence support for Ukraine, first of all, to strengthen the capabilities of Ukrainian air defence," Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
