Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Twitter thanked the government of the Netherlands for joining a team of 33 states that acknowledged that in 1931-33 the Russian government used famine to erase the Ukrainian people. The Netherlands became the 34th country to recognise the Holodomor as genocide.
"I welcome the recognition by the Netherlands House of Representatives of the Holodomor as a genocide. Calling things by their proper name is the key to justice. And to prevent the recurrence of these horrific crimes. Grateful to the Netherlands for strong and multifaceted support of Ukraine in the fight for our future and that of all free world!" Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
A few days ago, the same decision was made by the parliaments of Croatia, Slovakia, Luxembourg, the Vatican and dozens of other countries.
And now Russia is blocking the grain corridor and is trying to starve not Ukrainians but the whole world.
