The Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the World Horti Center will present an online study on the needs and development prospects of Ukraine’s greenhouse sector. The report was prepared to help foreign partners understand where cooperation with Ukrainian agribusiness can be most useful.
The study is based on interviews with commercial greenhouse companies, producer surveys and consultations with industry experts. It examines current challenges, investment opportunities, rebuilding needs and the technologies that growers need most.
What Ukraine needs
According to the announcement, the Ukrainian market is especially interested in entry-level and mid-level greenhouse technologies, fertilizers, climate-control systems and seeds. These are practical needs rather than abstract innovation slogans.
The discussion will also cover knowledge transfer, cooperation inside the sector and the possible creation of a national greenhouse association. For Dutch suppliers, this is a route into a market that needs modernization; for Ukraine, it is a chance to rebuild protected cultivation with better efficiency and lower energy pressure.
